You don’t have to be a fabulous celebrity in people magazine to pose with your pooch…Say hi to Louie the Newfoundland!! This new website is a dream come true for everyone at 3000BC. And it is not only about beauty, but also about wellness, health and quality living. This business has been a passion for me for over the last 15 years and it is our goal to communicate ideas, wishes and the professional opinions of the entire 3000BC staff on 3000bc Beauty Chat. So here’s my deal this week. I had a hair analysis performed with a specialized scanner that magnifies the hair follicles. I was shocked and a bit embarrassed as I always prided myself on my thick and full head of hair. It showed an immense buildup of styling products on the hair shaft. Yuck!! Yes, I use smoothing/straightening products, gels and styling sprays, but I had no idea that the shampoo I had been using (it starts with an A) was not cleaning the hair properly. SHOCKING BLIND TEST RESULTS!!!!!

Hello Spa-Goers!

Having previously worked for the nation's top mineral brand as well as for a few other well known high-end product lines, I took a special interest in assisting with the product development of our new minerals.

We sourced countless vendors and tested each mineral formulation for ease of application, texture, finish, color range, and wearability.

This project evolved over several months and resulted in a product line that meets all my needs as a professional makeup artist and consumer!

...The most exciting part of helping to create this line was the grand finale....Our BLIND PRODUCT TEST.

I gathered all the girls--Medically-trained Estheticians--for a special training on our line, and set up a display of 4 leading mineral makeup lines for everybody to try. These 4 brands--Bare Minerals, True Minerals, Mineralogie, and 3000bc Essential Minerals--were set out in spoonfuls, outside of their packaging and completely unmarked.

My goal was to have my fellow "product snobs'' evaluate these brands in much the same way I had when we were developing the line. They tried each one of the minerals on their hands, in a facial application with different brushes, and finally the verdict was unanimous:

--Based on a blind test, our staff liked 3000bc Essential Minerals the best in terms of finish, texture, ease of application, and color!!!

am i wearing enough sunscreen?

daisy days

hi all.  i'm kristin kane, spa director of 3000bc's chestnut hill spa.  i wanted to tell you about something very special and exciting that we are doing.  

on april 30th,  nine of the 3000bc team were fortunate enough to attend the 52nd annual daisy days luncheon.  a charitable event that raised 1.3 million dollars for C.H.O.P  it was at the bellevue and started with a reception and unbelievable silent auction -then we had a tasty lunch followed by a fashion show by the fabulous team of badgley mischka.

3000bc spa is so excited to be a donor to daisy days this year!  we are doing our part on june 3rd. we will be open to only daisy day luncheon participants and 25% of all proceeds will go to C.H.O.P.
